First off this is my first post here on zilvia.. I love this site and brows it multiple times a day.. So heres my problem.. I just picked up a set of coilovers for my S14 and the rears went on without an issue.. as i started working on the front i ran into a problem.. My cars suspension has never been touched so the bolts are rusted on.. i managed to break the nuts loose on the lower part of the struts where it attaches to the spindle/hub assymbaly but one bolt is stuck in the hole on each side.. ive spent 2 days spraying PB blaster on them every few hours and still nothing.. i got one to spin a few time using my 300 pound friend as dead weight on the 3 foot cheater bar.. lol.. these bolts arent threaded in and should just slide out.. i hit them with a 10 pound sledge hammer too.. still nothing.. so heres my question, is there still load on the suspension even with the car sittin on jack stands? all of my 240sx buddys said there isnt but i wanted to check with zilvia to see if they had the same issue.. please help! its the 2 17/19mm bolts at the bottom of the struts.. :bash:

IIRC there is some tension on the strut but not enough to keep that bolt in

unbolt the whole assembly (strut and knuckle) set it on somthing that will allow the bolt to drop and beat the shit out of the bolt

yeah after 2 days i decided to fully undo the bolts on the strut tower.. the suspension then dropped down more and after 3 simplt hits with the hammer, the bolt popped out.. it seems like there was tension from the lower control arm or tension rod.. donno.. any ideas? it wasnt from the strut/springs... they were fully sprung out already... oh and on the side note, i think i read your build thread.. the one where you built the motor from the ground up because it was junk when you got it.. blowen turbo and bad head gasket.. was that you im thinking about? anywhoom thanx for the help..
