My temp gauge is fine but when i run the car 4 awhile the temp gauge starts to go up above the half way point and then comes back down any input would help thanks

Soundslike a bad temp sensor. Mine was doing the same thing last year. Have you tried to see if you turn the car off when the temp does start to go up and after you have turned it back on the temp is normal again.

i havent yet but i will 2day so i shouldn't worry about the car over heating? and how much did u get ur temp sensor 4? oh thanks 4 ur input

Get an aftermarket temp gauge if you can.

After i bought the new temp sensor. (cost me 12 dollars) I as well did install a after market temp gauge.

just installed the temp sensor and is still doing that idk where go from here = (

Stock temp sensor sucks BAD.

Buy an aftermarket one and don't look back.

even a cheap autometer gauge will be fine. the oem ones blow ass

im having the same issue with mines! im changing mines out this week and hopefully it works! i was told if that doesnt fix it its most likely a headgasket going bad

I totally agree with people above... aftermarket temp gauge. But if you want to make sure your car is not overheating let the car run for a while till you start seeing the temp gauge go up and insert one of them kitchen temp gauges for the food and stick in one of the radiator fins and see what it reads. Thats how I made sure it was my temp sensor that was f'ed up. Bottom line get yourself an aftermarket one.
