A click? Maybe you dont have the starter plug on the starter, I had that problem before. You need to list more details if u want help.

Well my starter is all hooked up. I checked. selenoid wires and the longer black plug coming off is plugged in. maybe it is just my battery.. That or my starter is no good..

test yur battery's volts and amps , if the battery checks out good, jump the starter directly from the battery , if yur starter kicks over , there is a broken wire or somthing not connected , check youre lower harness

while it do more good than bad to sand down the grounded area, i dont think thats the cause of your problem, test the starter with either a multimeter or the ol hammer method and go from there

okay well it turns out my wire was messed up. so i fixed the wire plugged it in and the car turns over. only problem is now, that my coil packs arent getting power.. im gonna test my ignitor to see if thats working but from there i wouldnt know what else to test, any suggestions?

take a multimeter and check the incoming side make sure all approiate connectors are getting power and then the output side is as well, if input is good and output is bad then u have a bad ignitor, but if input in bad then it could be ecu/wiring related, if both sides are good pull the coils 1 by one and ensure theyre getting spark

i tried to use a test light on it in the car and it didnt work. so i took the ignitor out and did a continuity test on two ignitors i had around and test came out the same i doubt i have two bad ignitors.. but i dont know i guess it could happen.. i might just have to take the wiring harness out and trace all those wires for the coil pack harness back to the ecu and see whats up. but ive searched and cant find shit for an s14 NA ecu pinout
