s14 heater hoses

i've looked at the FSM and based on the pictures in there, i believe that there is no designated inlet and outlet for the heater core, but i just wanted to check. this is from my 97--is there a correct inlet and outlet hose? also does anyone know what size hose i need for the bottom fitting? i think the top one is 3/4", so i'm assuming the bottom is the same. anyone care to confirm?
