the car has been running for 2days now
1990 hatch w/180sx 94-97 blacktop
fuel pressure is 43 w line off / 37ish with line on
timing set to15deg btdc
tps tested 100%
atp manual boost controller turn to the off positions
hks ssq ---releasing to the atmosphere
stock maf
vacuum set like this
bottom left throttle body -boost controller-wastgate
upper left throttle body-tee to boost gauge-bov hks ssq
upper right throttle body-small tee for ID/tube reduction-FPR
and the wiring was done by wiring specialties so thats not the issues
THe car started just fine after alil blue box removal and adjusting the TPS
I checked and adjusted the timing....
The car at this point idled great(well i dont have a working tach right now sohc car so should have a tach by monday or so) but sounded around 900-950ish....
After tuning in the fpr, checking operating temps, and doing 100's of double checks i took her for a drive .......................
Runs great as the RPM's climbed but at what i would say is anything after half throttle the engine stagnates aka feels like a KA !
No sputtering or stalling out but doesn't have the balls it should ???
Wanting to check for boost leaks within the FMIC piping but the boost gauge makes me think there is is no leak (no droping in pressure or jumping around)and all the piping is seated vary well with the couplers but i guess it cold be happening.
Power feels like it should when your not on the gas more than half way??
Trying to diagnoses problem i have:::
checked tps voltage open to close .good
readjusted FMIC piping 4 times. didn't help
weird things:::
<vacuum at idle 15ish remember running around 19-20 in the past..
<I have plugged the recri hole on the rubber turbo inletpipe along with the small hole for vacuum and the 3/4"ID hole on my apex intake..
And that's really it the car runs solid as long as i don't give more than 50% throttle and even then its OK but something is off??
What else can i do ???
Any ideas ???
planning further testing for boost leaks ,, would it be good to spray soapy water on fitting and check for movement when engine is reved up?
thanks
