So after getting most issues straight with my S13, ALL the big issues are out of the way. Now it seems like there are 100 million little issues to deal with....

So first and foremost, every so often when I turn the ignition to ON my wipers take a long pathetic swipe across and whenever it does that it does not turn over right away rather will give one click....not like a bad solenoid click either, more like a mechanical clunk...anyway I just try every few seconds and then it starts right up....

next is my speedometer, it is the hud speedo and seemingly works whenever it wants to. My radio harness is cut and currently I have no radio for it. I have since reconnected all but one pigtail that I can only guess was orig Nissan equipment...but if i cross the power wire from that the speedo will sometimes come on if it is already off.....

Last and least annoying is the fact that my passenger's headlight seems to "forget" where I have set it to. I adjust the dial until it is level with the hood and fender, but when I turn the lights on and off, it is back to being slightly sunken in...do I need to disconnect the battery before I adjust it or something?

no one has anything? I know there is a capacitor in the gauge cluster that has a tendency to fail......I'd rather not rip into that if anyone knows of another fix for the HUD.

The wiper thing is somehow related to the car not starting b/c if the wipers DON'T swipe it starts right up....fucking weirdest thing.....

I KNOW someone here has to know a fix for the headlight, I searched this forum and google for a fix but found nothing....

You prolly have a wire touching bare metal on the light or something

could be, I didn't see any bare wires in the engine bay but I have yet to look behind the dash....I cringe at the thought of the wiring mess that is in there.

I did find the reason for the starting issue, SOMETHING is slowly draining my battery...I suspect this horn looking thing that looks like a factory alarm or something....there appears to be two disc like horns near the rad, and then this one that is obviously a horn on the driver's strut tower.

I have a feeling that this is going to take a loooong time to diag

My car did the wiper swipe when my battery was low and even messed around with my fuel injectors, anywAys, check under the dash and see if there is an aftermarket alarm brain box, check to see if anything looks like it has been put back together with tape, connectors or just twisted back together.

Seems like you should recheck the radio wiring and see if any of that is touching metal or loose, look for the wire colors in the FSM on here and see what's what

thanks gives me some things to check out, i'll report my findings. It does seem as though some thing is drawing on the battery, are there any known drainage suspects on the 89 SOHC??
