ok, my stock 93 240sx se has a MSD ignition and i just got the car and i will not rev over 3,000 rpms and will idel between 1-2 (high 1's) and i dont know wheather if i can just tune the msd ignition or what so can anyone help me with this. thank you

if its an msd 6al, check the rev limiter pill on the side of the box. if it`s a 3000, that is the highest the rpm will go. if it`s not a 6al and only a 6a, you don`t have a built in rev limiter on the box. if that`s the case, the ignition box does not have anything to do with your problem. but if it`s a 6al and you don`t have a pill in the slot, it will have no rev limit. check for vacuum leaks, especially between the MAF and throttle body.
