So after a while of searching and digging I found an old lady who had a bone stock s14, 5 speed on top of that. Took me a year of stalking and calling her but after a year she replaced the "blue nissan" with a newer car and sold me her base model kouki for the amazing price of $1000. ...no that isnt a typo either. and yes...im an :mrmeph:

so Last febuary I got her. Got bless Chicago winters eh?

Nice and dirty and pin striped up.

Slowly transformed it into something drivable. It took me almost a year before I actually started really messing with it. But in the meanwhile, stereo got a bit of an upgrade. Full AC shockwave setup, tweeters in door, replacement fronts, and cut the rear deck to support 6x9's for a better sound.

The interior has some work left to the imagination also. Yes thats a stock tape deck, i forgot they even made those.

Nice and sexy steering wheel cover, I guess the old lady didn't want to get her hands cold in the winter. Also hardwired the V1 in.

Summer time came around, cleaned up the body and ditched the jdm pinstripe, added some 3k hid fogs and changed over the headlights to a simple 4300k hid setup.

and as it warmed up i had the time to build myself a little fun in the trunk. simple amp and a 10" sub. Nothing over the top, but a nice clean thump when I want it.

Winter settled in and with the KA and car mostly stock, i figured i would play in the snow some.

Then the fun began over the last few months

First up, is comp clutch twin disc for the SR (for sale here actually, decided its not that bueno for a DD car) less than 500 miles on it.

The KA was topping 173k and on its last leg so when that happens on a project car, its a great excuse to upgrade. After finding an emission loophole in IL I decided on the oh so typical SR swap. Right now we just got it running the way it should due to the guys over at Zerolift and shes pushing 14psi off the stock turbo. Of course the basic bolt on's as well, fmic, megan downpipe, isis manifold ect ect.

Also slapped on some DGR street Coilovers and when it comes to coils, these things are simply amazing. They are a lady in the street and a freak in the sheets. They feel almost stock when im daily driving.

Yes the rear was raised some and the wheels are changing after the widebody goes on.

Future plans include all the aero coming in over the next 2 months, widebody, and YES im keeping the starfire blue paint since it is extremely rare. Even the carbon body panels are getting the blue paint treatment. Then some interior work and eventually build out the motor.

Enjoy

Congrats on the deal, but this belongs in the intro and/or picture thread. If the requirement for a build thread was a motor swap and a few minor mods, we would have thousands of "build" threads.

Good luck with the future plans.
