Ok so Im starting my s14 interior conversion (97 s14 interior in a 93 vert). Ive seen a few threads where people got the dash to fit okay. Even on guy who did the door panels in his vert. But I havent seen or heard anything at all about anyone doing this swap while trying to retain A/C, cruise control, power mirrors etc.
I mean I know its kinda something you gotta go out there and do, but I guess Im looking for some moral support from others who have successfully completed the swap with AC specifically. Maybe someone has some pointers?
Im thinking Im gonna have to redrill holes for all the in-dash a/c shit. Probably trim the hell out of the vent tubes, and fiberglass up some new ones or whatever. The door panels might need some trimming as well...and will need holes drilled for mounting. The door handles have me kinda worried, but hopefully I should just be able to either use a combination of 13 and 14 linkages, or maybe bend some to fit...
so yeah, anyone?

Seems like your in for an adventure...still not sure why people put all this ache and pain into something pointless but anywho my best bet would be to get the entire interior out of the s14 and install it just the way it came out the original car with the obvious triming and light fiberglass work.
Vents are just plastic tubes you can put them where ever you want.
Maybe even into your seats!

^Hey thats a good idea, I hate how the foot vent just blows in from one side. Maybe Ill fix that while Im at it. haha.
But yeah, I have every single piece out of an s14. Along with complete uncut wiring harnesses from the whole car. So I think Im set there. The plan is to just strip everything out of the s13 from the rear seat forward except the door locks and the window motors. Then install the s14 harness, dash bar, s14 steering column...and I guess fit the dash and go from there with the a/c stuffs...will be fun indeed.
To me its not pointless because I have the free time right now, and both cars (wrecked s14, and convertible shell with horrible smelly interior and nice body...) so I am just going to make the best car I can with the parts I already have. The vert needs to be stripped down and pressure washed anyway...smells like straight s13. lol

Pile of parts...this is only like half of it. I have 3 24'' boxes full of wiring. lol.

Wellll I have no ac yet. But at least the dash is in the car. lol.
I have not yet attempted to fit the door panels, but so far I havent had to trim anything. Just alot of "coaxing" it into place. Using s14 dash bar and bracket with s13 steering column.

Awsome like the progress, i myself put the s14 dash conversion in in my vert utilizing all s13 wiring and just repining the s14 plugs onto s13 harness ,theres really no cutting any wires almost plug n play. as for the heater controls im looking into s14 dcc i just picked up, sub harness plugs in to s13 wiring so maybe repining dcc plugs is all . good luck withthe swap hope everything gets done soon. im going to post some of my progress soon trying to make the wek sos show in santa cruz
