r180 diff

So I got screwed over. Mostly because of my lack of knowledge on the r200 rear diff. Bought a pumpkin with a nismo 2 way already installed. Had 6 bolt output shafts. Thought it was legit. Well I pulled my stock open diff out and went to swap covers and at that time realized it was completely different. Guy told me it came out of his s13 coupe. Im pretty sure the internals arent going to swap over because the casing is much smaller. Realized that once i had them side by side. So looks like im going to be selling it but I dont want to screw anyone over like what happened to me. Looked at my buddies s13 and it looks like it will go right in. But the r180 is thinner. So my question is will the stock axles work with a r180 or what kind of axles will be needed to put it into an s13? Has anyone had any experience with this? Will it even fit into an s13? Cant find out much about the r180s and im still trying to figure out what it came out of. I read that subarus and some older datsuns used them? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

swap your stock s14 rear diff cover.. and axles should go with the diff r????(certain bolt pattern?) w/e diff..not sure but sometimes the axles go on a certain side? GL. . . *google it*

ive searched. and the covers wont swap. r180 and r200 are completly different. found out they came in na jdm s13s are s14s. so if i came across a r180 jdm na cover it would work. thats about it though. im just trying to figure out if stock axles for an s13 will work with it.

if it is 5 bolt. i u need the 5 bolt shafts matched with axles. 6 bolt then 6 bolt. as for as half shaft the nismo 2 ways are made to accommodate the stock half shafts. it will work fine i had a r180 from my old coupe. and yes it does come off the na s13 s14 and a31 n/a

^^^ Lol, no S13 or S14 came with a R180 diff.

well it came off of a coupe for sure. it may have not been oem but it was installed on a s13. i just dont want to f*** someone when i resell it. so it will work with stock s13 axles?
