Hi There

My name is Rik and i'm from the Netherlands
I'm a mechanic for a living.
When i was working for a local nissan dealer my interest in fast nissan cars began,.
first i wanted a sunny gti-r, but then my frinds gti-r blew the gearbox and soon after that the engine..
And finely in 2003 i bought a 1995 Nissan 200sx s14 (euro sr20det)
pics.

after the builts of my friend joes (Joe-san)
#/f/chat/345784-nissan-200sx-s14-5-1995-widebody.html

and my friend dennis his build we working on at this moment
#/f/chat/397756-dutch-2jz-s14-swap-project.html

now its time to show you my project hope you like it..

it was completely stock and after a few changes it looks like this
http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i19/rikboe/s14/autorik032.jpg

i that period it was cool to bodykit it.
http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i19/rikboe/warnetondriften040.jpg

http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i19/rikboe/warnetondriften039.jpg

after a few shows and meetings i did a trip to the nurburgring
http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i19/rikboe/dikke%20wagens/0020.jpg

http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i19/rikboe/warnetondriften027.jpg

i broke my skirts and front bumper in the carossel and dicided to stock body it because i really liked driving the nurburgring
http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i19/rikboe/IMG_4636.jpg

after 28 laps my hks gt-ss blew and i dicided th build the car from the bottum and this time no turbo's

first take it appart
http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i19/rikboe/fotosiphone577.jpg

than the safty cage built bij Gerwin Biesheuvel (famaus family name in dutch motorsport)

Is that a regular VQ30DE or the Revup VQ?

The motor looks too close to the firewall for the OEM intake manifold (or even most aftermarket) intake manifolds to fit. I wonder what you have planned...:2f2f:

rik boellen
07-24-2011, 01:36 AM
Thanks for the interest in my project.
it is e regular vq35 283hp,.
my decision was made from a swap topic on zilvia and the dutch rally scene, the www.350zchallenge.nl was build and started by Biesheuvel Autosport (http://www.biesheuvel.nl). The rally cars are awsome and don't have any engine failures.
because i want to buy a (yearcard)??? membership to drive on the nurburgring as much as you can. i can't have a broken car.
Indeed the motor sits close to the firewall but this is direct bolt on with the mc-cinney mounts.
as for the manyfold i'm going to use the cosworth plennum. and need to modify the firewal..
i update as soon as there are interesting movements

What kind of time did you get on the ring?

rik boellen
07-24-2011, 06:52 AM
let's say under 9 minutes

you can not official talk about times during the touristenfahrt.(a local rule)
my last ten rounds i didnt clock.

my new goal is 8 minutes flat..
after that i want to do a fast time in the rain..
so ambitions enough! haha

I ran 8:05 a few weekends ago. I was sandwitched between a GT3 and a gutted E30 from after the foxhole till the first karussell. I swear there we only 6 cars TOTAL on the ring that morning. We are heading up there this Sunday (weather permitting) if you can make it. Just get there hella early and there aren't that many Porsche and BMW's out there. At most you will have two bikes but they usually push you. PM me for my cell if your interested. I just hope it doesn't effing rain this time!

It's really cool to see how much you guys are putting into this chassis. It always seems the things I see coming from overseas way outweigh the quality of things from America. I'll be watching this for sure. Any further plans for the vq? I'm sure you'll get bored of it at some point. Glad to see this thing is being driven on a world known road course and not destroyed drifting.

http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i19/rikboe/image_zpsd3f84bee.jpg (http://s68.photobucket.com/user/rikboe/media/image_zpsd3f84bee.jpg.html)

And try fit this on the good front bumper just to see how this looks
Because of dutch law and roads i can not drive this in amsterdam and on public road so would make this later when there is more tracktime.
But even with duct tape moulding i love the idea and result

http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i19/rikboe/image_zps4a820015.jpg (http://s68.photobucket.com/user/rikboe/media/image_zps4a820015.jpg.html)

And because it must be functional the idea is to make it like this

http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i19/rikboe/image_zps49b66e06.jpg (http://s68.photobucket.com/user/rikboe/media/image_zps49b66e06.jpg.html)

I wil update within the next weeks.
Been driving the bmw a lot last month so building was third place
(Gf was first offcause) haha

Gosai! Goid to hear about that

The engine stays stock only bolt on's this must be a reliable car because i want to make a 60 plus round's on the nurburgring a year. 300 bhp is more than enough to play with the big "local's" gt3 csl etc.

Did a 9:12 with the bmw last weekend 170 bhp(or what left) so a 100hp extra would do it for me
This is not a time attack build for me only looking for the best reliable parts.
Hope to braek into the low 8 min or 7:59 btg time thats my goal

If I decide to keep my s14 it will directly be because this build inspired me.

A. What size and offset lmgt's are you running? Also what size tires.

B. I feel that the suspension sucks in a lowered s14, have you got to drive with the geomaster knuckles yet? I am curious to see if they bring the suspension back to life in the 240sx.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply!
Also are you going to be tuning the vq or run it oem configuration?

Also double on the can system question.

rik boellen
10-22-2013, 01:31 PM
Wil use some signals from the can line and ad some extra lines for extra info like
Oil,gearbox,diff temp..

Also the laptime sensor!!

For speed i have to figure out how to do that
In a week or two i get a info night @ aim

Think the engine would be stock for a while..
On the nurburgring is suspention setup more important than big power
Maybe bolt on parts like cams, and a really good exhaust system like the s-g motorsport longtube headers

ka-titties
10-22-2013, 02:47 PM
the S&G motorsports longtubes wont fit your car.

your speed can be done with a garmin GPS (what i'm doing) or buy using an ABS differential.

rik boellen
10-22-2013, 04:02 PM
a friend from the board here had them special made for the s14 body so it could be done

i prefer the abs sensor for speed signal
would ask the expert for best options

milestone!!!!

the car did not run and had to figure out why
it cost me 3 weeks to find out the flywheel was he problem
i fitted a lighter example and did not notice it could be mounted wrong

stupid me!

now it is on its own legs and did his first steps whithout me pushing!!

i'm a proud dad!!

here a link from my mate who made the film with the cellfone.

Update time!

I bought a second hand aim mxl dash
After all the issues i had to figure out that a yamaha r1/6 aim mxl isn't the same as a "normal" mxl dash
So to keep a very long story short! (The aim thinks my car is a yamaha r1/6) i had to make a complete new wireing andsoftware setup ( jobe done )

I contact my mate Carlo from Sticky stickers https://nl-nl.facebook.com/pages/Sticky-Stickers/165042720211753 and suggest to make this!

It must be nissan related and thought the nissan le mans 2012 livery would be great.

A different update
But the fact is was so cool i thought it was worth mention this in my project topic.
Trough this forum i got a pm from a guy from Norway (think 2years ago)
His name is Stian and he asked me a couple questions about my car
We never loose contact since.

Stian asked me one day if i could search for a spare vq engine beacause there aren't many 350z's in norway so find a engine it would be hard to find.
I told him i got a spare engine with maybe a broken bearing ore something! Did not do the diagnostics on that yet.
We would meet up halfway into denmark
So i told my girlfriend the story and we both decided to bring the engine to norway and do some city visiting on the way home(that idea grew out to a complete holiday)
So i packed the engine and put it on the backseat of my daily driven bmw

http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i19/rikboe/image_zpse18980de.jpg (http://s68.photobucket.com/user/rikboe/media/image_zpse18980de.jpg.html)

Drove to danmark and took the ferry to oslo.

http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i19/rikboe/image_zps9cabd6a7.jpg (http://s68.photobucket.com/user/rikboe/media/image_zps9cabd6a7.jpg.html)

At the border i had some things to explain to customs and luckely stian was there to confirm my story about a engine in the backseat.

We drove towards stians house
I finally saw his car in the flash (stunning car)

http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i19/rikboe/image_zps38028a9b.jpg (http://s68.photobucket.com/user/rikboe/media/image_zps38028a9b.jpg.html)

Stian is going to check the engine what could be wrong and after that it would became a extreme NA power rocket

We were getting along that wel and the same was with the girls so we wil stick around in the nearby city's and come back next weekend!

We were in Oslo as we speak and wil visit some city's in Zweden this week
Next weekend we will hangout again!!

(Hope you guys liked my different update) the s14 wil be readdy in the near future(had to change some things first now)

Update time!

I had some track time (need to do it this year haha)
It was a charity day for ill kids! And we had a free our to drive hard
In that our i could test the car for the first time.

It drove beyond expectations and i need to fine tune the car now to drive it fast.
The power delivery from the vq is perfect for tracks like zandfoort (netherlands) and the Nürburgring.

Picture does more than words

Love this swap! As it belongs there (bleu hose's are going to be replaced by black)
