View Full Version : is this a good spot for this?(vacuum block)

installed a vacuum block and for some reason its not strong enough to open my BOV ,also i might have a vacuum leavk did the carb cleaner trick and cant find nothing....my questions are is this vacuum block in a good place?(dont mind the black vacuums,their teed into eachother because i didnt have caps)

also when i removed my EGR ,i was left with one open vacuum i plugged with a screw scene in this picture,but now using it for my boost gauge ..just figured id show incase i was doing somthing wrong..any ideas?thanks

hell no, right on top of my turbo manifold.... they will turn into gum within the 1st week!!!

really?wow thanks man,ive seen people run it there...my questions is ....im not getting enough vacuum to open up my bov...so maybe i have a leak somewhere effecting this?whats another way to do a vaccum leak check ?thanks man for the fast reply

oh ok go ahead, dont be surprised if you start smelling burnt rubber and your car runs like crap... and if you seen people run it there,then why make a thread asking if its a good spot.... this could of been posted in the small question thread....

Perhaps try getting rid of the vacuum block and hooking up the bov to another source of vacuum after the throttle body, maybe even to where you have your boost gauge hooked up now, just to make sure the bov is not faulty. Don't be E-ffended by assholes either.

Thanks man yeah your right lol I usually never do..I was just reading that at the wrong time but I will try that tomorrow and report back

As said that will melt....fast. On my ka-t set-up i had enough vacuum sources for all my things. Simplify your intake mani and remove egr/etc. It'll free up some stuff.
