Im going to build the engine myself just wondering what would be a better piston? Im not really going for big power or anything maybe 350 400 at the most.

Stock works fine for those numbers. as far as AM goes I like Wiseco.
But if those are your choices Id go with CP

I've never used supertech. But have had nothing but success and reliability from cp. I've used cp on several Sr20's and a 1jz. So in short, I vote cp. I'm gonna be messing around with mahle here soon on a redtop

I would use stock but i had to bore the block so now ive got to use aftermarket. Im prolly gonna use CP but was trying to find something a little cheaper but still has good quality.

Im prolly gonna do wisco pistons 86.5 9.0:1 and eagle H-beam rods with a cosworth 1.1mm head gasket with ARP studs im hoping for close to 400 but if i hit 350 i would be happy! Prolly going to use a 2871r on 15 to 20 pounds

i think the apexi hg is more worth it and its just a better gaurantee it will last and you can rest assured it not gonna blow

Like me... I ran 20psi on my Cosworth and never had an issue. It would be nice to know how many HG failures were actually due to stud stretch/un-even or warped decks/overheating/etc...
I ran 394whp @ 18psi for over 2 years on stock pistons with Eagle rods but with my #1 taking a shit, I've purchased a set of CP 86.5 9:1. That's what Enjuku encourages... I've never heard any bad things about the big name piston companies. I love how pistons look like Plutonium when you open the box.

Here is that stock #1 failure. Leaned out and broke the ring lands.

All the machinist I've seen/talked too reccomend je pistons...I've personally seen cp's and wiesco fail....I use je on my built sr20 and it's great.

Do whats right to you, I don't think any of the pistons named here is going to kill your 350-400bhp engine. It's the people who build and tune/map the engine..... if they are not up to the job ;)

What HP r u putting down?
CA was 300, KA dont know yet it cause I blew ma first engine and im still breaking this one
But Ive seen some really good reviews, and they say they r good up to 32 psi
Again as many say Good tunning should make the engine bulletproof, Ive seen wiseco go boom and I´ve heard that fitting insnt quite right sometimes.but then again Ive only used Supertech on my engines

CP's are one of the best pistons on the market right now for the price. I have a spare bottomend that I'll be throwing CP's VE 9:1's and spool rods in the near future. JE's have a very high silicon percent which makes them expand more than others. That's why you hear stories or piston slap. Anyway you look at it, if you want your motor to last, you need to learn to let it warm up correctly before you go beating the shit out of it. Once motors with JE's are warm, they don't have issues.
