i'm looking for new tires that are good for dry and wet.
SUNNY SN3800 93W BSW
FEDERAL SS-595 84W BSW
SUNNY SN3970 88W BSW
ACHILLES Atr Sport 88W XL BW

i found many good reviews about these tires except for SN 3970. tell me what you guys think about these.
Also, which ones give nice stretch?

FEDERAL SS595 FTW, definitely the best tires for the price. and for sure the best tires out of the 4 models you posted. I and most kansas drifters run feds

From what i've heard, Sunny's give a lot of road noise, but they are usually pretty cheap. I run Federal 595 Super Steels, and only have a small stretch, but they look pretty nice. For the price, I can't complain, and i'd buy them again, with no hesitation.

Anyone have a hook up on these tires?

Sunny's were no good for me. At least for wet roads in Florida. I haven't tried the Feddies but I hear a lot of good things about them. Also, they run a bit bigger than most other companies.

Federals SS595 I really think its the most bang for the buck and they do run a little big.

will there be a big difference in overall height between 215/35/19 and 245/35/19 on same 9" rims?

215 has a 75.25mm sidewall, 245 has a 85.75mm sidewall.

Federals run wide, IE a 225 federal is like a 235 every other brand. Also they are great for drifting for the money and THIS HAS BEEN TALKED ABOUT BEFORE.

I have the SN3800s and can cosign this, they are LOUD on the road, but have always done me well in the NC rain (and even snow once), not bad for tires I only paid 70 each a year and a half ago.

Sunnys and Federals tend to stretch out the entire sidewall instead of pushing the bead out. And as previously stated they run on the wider side so if you are looking to get a 235/35/19 in say, Falken FK size, get a 225/35.

Achilles stretch nicely and quite a bit.

As far as quality goes, don't expect any kind of decent grip out of any of those tires.

P.S. Your screen name is so stancenation its not even canibeat anymore.

fk452's are terrible for their price.

go to https://www.onlinetires.com/

or look around some local used tire shops. usually have way better tires than any you have listed for crazy cheap.

Check out 714tires. I hear they sell tires for real cheap, give them a call, they're off the 405 at the Westminster exit, not too far from Irvine.

called 714tires. All they have is federal 595 for 215/35/19 for $111 mounted.
He said federal tires are FAT but not WIDE.
They don't have 205/35/19 cause it's not a usual size.
Anyone has pics of 215/35 FEDERAL on 9"?

I have run the achilles atr's on all of my cars. They are cheap, hard, and last. They stretch well and look good.

I also say no to sunny's and yes to feddiees. Slid like crazy in the rain with the sunny's and also are loud as hell.

Get Yokohama S-Drives then. I don't know how much they'll be for your size since you're looking for 19's or if they even make them in 19's but call around and look it up.

THe production date shows 1010..10th week in 2010. I thought they are suppose to give me the ones made in 2011..

when you guys buy tires, do you care about the overall diameter ratio between front and rear?

It'll be just right for me if i match rear 235/40/19 with 215/35/19 front instead of 235/35/19 rear. The diamter difference is 5.61%.

Right now, until i get new tires for rear rims, i have 215/35/19 front and 245/45/18 rear. BIG difference in diameter but my 350z doesn't light up SLIP sign. Do not have TPMS (aftermarket rims)
245/35/19 might BARELY tuck the sidewall. nothing's for sure.
235/40/19 would definitely tuck the tires.
The reason i don't want 235/35/19 is because if i do use them, my car would be dropped VERY close to the ground due to decrease in overall diameter. But still, not being able to touch the fender with sidewall.
My front vertex bumper is already VERY close to ground.
can i go 235/40/19 rear? I won't be racing in the street. i take it to the track.

I'm a fan of ATRs...thats all I shreaded for the rears in Okinawa. They grip awesome for drift tires and they're better than most in the wet for summer tires.
