yea this is a new one for me and I so far am a little stumped. I ran an event yesterday and the motor ran great the whole time at 10psi. On the long drive home I noticed my turbo wasn't making the normal high pitched spooling noise but more of a "wooshing" noise when it spooled that and the massive lack in power and that it would barley hit 1psi and if i stood on it, it might tickle 4psi at best. Also my bov is doing nothing (for obvious reasons)
now its not missfireing at all nor is the idle bad. By all accounts the motor is running great. If its a boost leak after the turbo then it should be missfireng and just running like a bag of dicks. There is no exhaust leak either.
So I think it must be the turbo itself. Can anyone confirm this? could the housing be cracked? or maybe the turbine is fucked up? It honestly just sounds like its just blowing air into the atmosphere like the hot pipe isn't even attached!

I had a similar problem with my car and it turned out that my boost controller had gotten moved when I was doing some work on my car. The boost lines got pinched and I was getting little to no boost (tuned for 25 psi but wouldn't even hit 10 psi) Idk about the misfiring though... sucks to hear and I hope you get this fixed asap! its not missfireing
Oh yea you said it wasn't. Well I know on my car it was the boost lines. I know you think its the turbo but did you check them anyway?

yea I just had the problem you described earlier this week and replaced all the hoses and they are fine and tight
this is different its the sound the turbo is making that is really throwing me off it sounds like its just blowing into the air. no high pitched whistle like normal. sounds more like an electric leaf blower then a turbo.
1 of 2 things:
A) bad wastegate
B) bad turbo

yea this is what I was figuring
I know the turbo wasn't in great shape. has shaft play and burns oil. So I am guessing it finally let go.
but I figured when it did it would be smoking like crazy?

I've never seen a bag of dicks run but sounds like a boost leak to me. Make sure everything is tight. My Evo used to blow intercooler pipes loose all the time. Then again you're only running 10lbs. I was running 24.
Mine seized completely and never smoked

its still spinning for sure
CAN'T BE A BOOST LEAK NO MISFIRE AND ANY RPM
OK. Do this. Disconnect the vacuum hose to the wastegate and do a 3rd or 4th gear pull but make sure you monitor your boost level. If it boosts, you have a bad wastegate. If not, look for another problem
