i took my spoiler off today to asess how bad the rust was on the mounts. well it was about what i expected. i will let the pics do the talking.

how much do they run? im not really banging my head against the wall, i knew what it was going to be like. how hard is it to seperate from the glass and such? is it complicated, or prety easy?

call local scrap/junk yards and see if they have any hatches in good shape. the glass usually comes with it unless it's shattered.

haha, welcome to every other s13 hatch owners world. I bought a replacement spoilerless hatch in my color for 100bux, happy searchin.
can't you just weld and bondo?

hey bill in that post it says that primer absorbs liquid, i am in the process of buying a car that is all primered do i need to paint it with some paint to protect the car or will it be ok?

Primer coat 1 can absorb moisture, 5 coats, no problem I did 5 coats, downpours have not penetrated enough to noitice.
Always paint primer after sanding if you can. Mine is painted now...looking good.

id prefer gettin a fresh piece of metal compared to bondo and screening...at least cut out the rust and weld a new piece of metal in...thats if u want to do it right :coolugh:

Cut, weld new metal in, and wangan. Or just go get one off a junker.
