Alright, here's what happened. I made a deal with a guy to buy a Walbro fuel pump and an S-AFC. I asked specifically if it was the version II S-AFC and here's the EXACT e-mail I recieved back:

yes, the Walbro has never been used and is still wrapped up and everything. it is a 2nd generation safc, it's the one with the vacuum flourescent display, it is in good condition although used but comes with all the wires and everything.

Today I recieved the above mentioned parts and the fuel pump is perfect just like he said, still wrapped up and everything. The S-AFC however.. this is what I recieved:

(That's not the exact picture, but that's the model). It's definitly not the version II. Was there a "second generation" before the S-AFC v2? The v2 has the single spin knob and different text across it. To my knowledge there was only the version 2 and the model I recieved. Is there actually also a second generation of the first model or did I get sent the wrong item? Also, it didn't come with any directions, documentation or anything. Just the unit and wires. I'd think "any everything" would include something as important as the directions.

If I'm just confused and he's right about the second generation thing then is my fault for not doing enough research, but if it's the wrong one then I'd like to at least try to get him to take it back. Would this be worth pursuing? Any help would be great, thanks.

It's the wrong one...tell him that and try to get the right one.

Is it worth buying? -> can't answer that...unless you need some fuel management

Alright.. I'm just going to ask if he'll take it back and refund my money. Hopefully he'll understand. :(
