So I cant search on here, it goes to a blank screen. I've searched on the other site and have came up with 0 results for my problem. I have 2 aftermarket Hubs and both have the horn "ring" around the bottom. Not a problem right? Well heres whats behind my stock steering wheel, All these are OEM Parts..

That piece is for the horn/cruise. Anyone else have this and install an aftermarket wheel?

You pulled out the contact points for the horn and cruise control
Just separate the two and you should be fine

Looking at your dash, there appears to be the HICAS warning light. Either that or you have an auto. So that extra hardware is probably the HICAS steering wheel sensor.
If you want to keep HICAS, you're probably going to need to get another hub that is compatible with it.
Otherwise, take apart that piece, use a FSM/Google to find out which wires do what and crimp/solder/modify the wires for the horn and CC.

you talking about the pic with the brown dash? thats a pic of my car, its a coupe, 5speed.
and if you're talking about the pic of where you can see his hatch window washer button, the red/pinkish thing is just the low window washer fluid light

I was referring to the OP since he was the one having an issue with his install.
Like I said, that's probably the HICAS steering wheel sensor and the red light by the hatch wiper switch is the HICAS warning light because that's where it is normally located. The low washer fluid warning is in the instrument cluster for the analog clusters.

Ah ok, thanks for teaching me something.... Lol I didn't know analog clusters had the washer fluid on the cluster, I'm used to my HUD.

Hey was up guys, i recently picked up a 91 240 with hicas and i was trying to install a nardi steering wheel with 3 hole grant adapter but found out that there's this piece (shown in the picture) and was wondering if its from hicas or is it a grant steering wheel adapter? I think whoever installed it before did it upside down too because where it says "top" is pointing down. Before I attempt to take it apart, I wanted to know what you guys think? As of right no matter what I do the nardi steering wheel will be installed on crooked.

That's a steering angle sensor, if you have one Google R32 GTR Aftermarket Steering wheel install
Same exact thing.
don't spin that ring though, If you misalign it it will mess up your HICAS system
