View Full Version : help pricing out my built s13 blacktop motor

alright well this winter i'll be jumping on the lsx bandwagon and doing another build on my 240sx.

With that being said in a few weeks i will be putting my whole setup up for sale for a turn key swap (minus transmission). i have no idea what price range to start my sale around so i am asking for some help with the pricing. let me know what you guys think my setup is worth.

since the build (spring 2010) i have put about 4k on the motor. i don't daily the car i drive it when i wanna cruise and if its a nice day out. it has seen the track for 1/4 mile one time. the car runs great and pulls hard.

so if it pulls hard then why go v8?

^^ I was wondering the same thing. Just buy a shell for the ls and keep the swapped blacktop. Or just keep the black top and throw in the ls and have fun swapping back and forth after you blow something up in either motor ; )
Would $4000 - 5000 be about right for the motor and computer?

thanks for the replies. my uncles are chevy guys and i've always wanted to tackle the swap and they want to help me with it. and im sure a mild built ls1 is gonna pull harder then my sr20. any more feedback will be greatly appreciated. i've already had some pm's entertaining offers on my setup.
