350z verse 240sx..who will win?

hi,
i never really posted up in the chat forum but there's this guy who owns a 350z who wants to race me. He doesn't know that i have a sr20det under the hood and assumes i'm just a ricer. I know the 350z has 287hp and weights approx. 3200 if i'm not mistaken while the 240sx (s13 in my case) weighs about 2700 (correct me if i'm wrong). His is stock..and i don't have a whole lot of mods but read my signature to see what I have. I plan on getting a front mount intercooler installed this sunday..and i haven't really said i'd race him. He's just seen me around so yea. I also calculated the weight to horsepower ratios and the 350z obviously wins. Per 100 pounds, the 350z produces approx 8.9 hp while the s13 with sr20det redtop produces about 8.2hp. I set it so that my sr20det is running 220hp (hopefully at least with my little mods here and there). Who will win? It will be close, and i know it's up to the driver but what if both were even? 3.5 L nissan monster, 400 pounds heavier verse 2.0 L nissan light weight with 7psi boost.

Who would win? How the hell are we suppose to know? Maybe you should call up 1-800-Psychic Friends.. Are you guys racing a 1/4 mile? 1/8th mile? or around Miami like in 2F2F?

unless you think you can install everything and get it tuned without problems...350z > Poorly running S13.


Anyway its literally a street race.

1. Not worth the costs/respect/pinkslips/anything
2. Street race. Anything can happen. Maybe he's squeezing and running 12s. Maybe he will spin the tires 1st and 2nd?

Still not worth it.

I handed a 350Z his when i was on 7lbs w/ filter and turboback exhaust.

My car also is really fast for what it has.....

We have no clue who would win, we don't know the condition of your car, tires, etc. etc....too many factors.

I have 2 best friends.

One has a 350z, the other has a redtop sr'ed s13 hatch..

The s13 smokes him so bad, its not even funny. This is on 7psi, also. Not even touching 15psi.

Take your friend to the local street legal drags and find out.
or: go to them by yourself first time around to see what times YOU pull, then see what most stock 350Zs are pulling.
Then figure out if you really want to race him.
