Alright guys I'm just finishing the auto to manual swap on my 96 s14 but i have a slight problem. I took the manual ECU and manual wiring harness from my brothers 240, and just finished wiring it. The problem is, when i go to turn the key, it doesnt want to turn over (it doesnt make the er er er starting sound) I think (hope) this one ground wire? is the source of it. Here are a few pictures...

This is the wire... I dont know where it goes to or what it is. Can anybody tell me where it bolts to?

Theres also this wire...

^^^ this wire runs off the manual harness. There are 3 wires running from it.

2 blue/ yellow

Off the auto harness there is the same plug just with 2 wires and a different plug. Do I spice them together? There is...

well first i would make 100% sure if its positive or negative with a volt meter. it looks like it could be the to the starter.
or thats the big ground that bolts to the manifold

so i would see and make sure its negative. then just ground it to your engine bay or something and try to crank it.

Just checked, that is not the wire that bolts to the manifold. Any idea on the other wires?

1 of those wires should go to the starter.

And If I'm not mistaken that plug goes to the speed sensor.

If you look closely at the last pic, you can see i have the ground and the plug-in wire on the starter already hooked up

starter shares ground from tranny casing, there is a hot 12volt wire to starter and a starter wire from ignition that activates it, check to see if you have your clutch bypass switch ingauged or hook up

I have a black wire the dust cover on it (see pic #6) also with the "hot wire" both attached to the starter and hooked up. I have my clutch bypass switch hooked up (see pic #1 and #2)

The first wire should be for the alternator, going to the engine fuse box.
