Bwahahaha, i know you all just cringed, reading the topic title.
But anyway, does anyone know what kind of modifications i'd need to fit 90-93 integra lights on a S13 coupe? They seem to be very similar in size and shape. The reason i ask is because i really would like to do something different with my tail lights, and it seems i have 3 options:
- Get my lights refabbed over at cleacorners.com
- Do a BIG custom job, getting skyline tail lights molded in
- Buy "altezzas" made for a 90-93 integra.
Now, i know what you're thinking "Altezzas!?!?! fuck no! is he on crack!?" But wait, i say! These aren't really altezzas, to me, anyway, they just seem to be in the altezza "section" (pic below).

So what do you think? Would fitting integra tail lights in be a tough job?

it looks like a rip off euro. i'd say skip it man. i feel you pain w/ you coupe, #### clear corner charging up the ass for clear signals. i was thinking 'bout making one myself, w/ plexi glass and light reflector thingie. and just dump the back up lights so when i signal the whole top side blinks =) that's a long shot, i don' t got money for tools.
but, i found this junkyard that's willing to sell a set of the coupe lights to me for 60 bucks, maybe that's where my project should begain!
where u from? i'm in LA county, maybe we can get our heads together on this...
you could always go for the 180sx tales if you have an s13

Heh, sorry, im about 3000 miles away from you in Baltimore. This is the only thing that i dont like about having a coupe, not being able to get those JDM round tail lights. I do have to think of something though, i really want to think of some kind of tail light mod/project.

Heh, those Toyotas are some tough bastards, my sister put 243,000 miles on her '85 toyota over a period of 2 years before she sold it, i think the only thing it ever needed was a new clutch.

[shameless plug] Why try custom fitting it since it's a paint in the ass? How about having good ol' Mike from clearcorners.com help you modify a pair of taillights for you? At least you know THOSE will fit.[/shameless plug]
I have a 92 'teg and my friend that I hang out with a lot has an S13 Silvia (yes..Silvia K's front end too). The taillights wouldn't fit properly without a bit of fabrication to either the lights or the rear of the car.
*shudders* Back then I actually DID consider getting those Euro red/clear tail lights for my car. Then I realized how much cooler OEM was. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>

There's a good reason why www.clearcorners.com charges the prices they do for the lights they make. First off...it's not as easy as you think. Secondly...the quality matches OEM, so they're not going to fall apart like cheap APC crap. Just think of buying OEM replacement parts, but they're "custom OEM" replacements...

Be a happy man and stick with stock... I don't really care for my taillights, but I've already done a taillight swap and I will never do it again... (different vehicle)

I dont' know if I'm stupid or what, but "all by myslef" doesn't really make sense to me in your signature, Mister DJ Machine. Is there a point to the misspelling?
