I'm thinking about developing some iPhone apps possibly in the import car realm, just curious if you guys have seen or use anything in that market.
On a side note my brother was part of the team that developed iFart a few years back which went crazy in the App store for a while.

I played that drift app which is alright. It'd be cool if there was a app where you can swap engines and be a smartass about some of them. For example: user has a Civic and wants to swap a SR into it. App will say, "LOL You Mad!"

The only car related apps I've got is Drift Mania and the Pocket Dyno POS app.
The dyno thing said i was making like 1100 hp out of my S30 and ran a 7 second quarter. I was like hell yeah!

There was a greddy bov app that makes your na car sound like it's boosted. Maybe make an hks one? Or even make yor car sound like it's bouncing of the rev limited.

heres a quick idea
everyone uploads a pic of their car/ profile for their car
it shows up on the front page randomly. people can vote +/-
pages for top and lowest rated
search just hondas/ 240/ whateeeeeeveer
another app (car battle /whatever
user uploads two pics of cars, usually theirs and a buddys, it pop us randomly on front page and people vote for the better/ lesser of the two.
person with the most + rep gets to brag to his buddy

there's an OBDII app, but its just for knowing what the codes are. +1 if you can get an app for consult ported to iphone.

there's an obd app called torque.

looks pretty good you just need to get a decent bluetooth obdII scanner.
here's the closest "tuner" app that fits what you're talking about. looks pointless lol.

Yeah you have to get a bluetooth obdii scanner, that isn't readily available. The only OBDII bluetooth adapters that I know of are part of $3k+ diagnostic kits.
But there are OBDII to USB cables... so why not an OBDII to iPod connector cable ?
