C5R 427ci 7 Liter
Was refreshed by Doug Rippie Motorsports in the fall of 07'.
Has ~5500 miles on it now
11.8:1 cr.
As with any other built large cube motor, it eats oil. i'd say 1 qt every 1k miles. road racing and drag racing, it eats a lil more. After any race event, i always change oil. i use Redline full 10w30 synthetic.
The motor made 520rwhp thru unlocked converter and closed cutouts. Cutouts open typically gave me 21rwhp and 12rwtq gain. So its a pretty potent motor.
The motor will be a drop in for any C5 corvette. For a C6, it will require some adapter harnesses that run about $300. Can be a drop in fit in any f-body (TA, Firebird, Camaro)
I also have available at an extra cost:
90mm FAST intake
90mm Nick Williams Throttle Body
Vararam Intake System
Kooks 1 7/8" LT headers
Kooks 3" x-pipe with mid section
DRM oil cooler kit
Here are the specs that i know:
LS6 243 heads bored out as far as they can be. flow 330cfm @ .614
-Ferrea severe duty 1 piece ss valves
-isky 6205 double valve springs
-titanium retainers
-bronze valve guides
comp cam lift: .630 duration: 244 lsa: 112
Lunati forged steel 4.00 crank
ALL ARP hardware (rods/head bolts)
ATI super dampner, pinned
Lunati billet steel rods 6.125"
Wiseco 11.25:1 forged aluminum pistions 4.125" diameter
childs&albert plasma moly rings
clevite bearings
Leak down data also available
I am asking $11K for this setup. It has cost around 30K to built. This motor was built as a strong N/A setup. The power is always there, on tap and ready to roll. DRM can send this out to buyer on a crate/pallet.
Thanks for viewing.
will get pics up asap
