I already promised to put these pictures up, and they're pictures of the front and back of my boyfriend's (S14Guy) car. We had a discussion on eyelids and blacked out tailights.

Anyway, here are the pictures:

Is that a sentra behind you, looks pretty cool
I remember you saying he made the eyelids himself, how'd he stick them on their? Also, how did he do the back? Other than makeing it darker, did he do anything else cauz the back looks different. What kind of exhaust is that? Do I see an innercooler? Am I rambleing? hehe

He had a company mix black paint with clear coat paint and paint the tailights. The circles were just two circular shapes that were painted over and removed. He didn't really do the headlights himself, but I guess he told the guy what to do, and I'm sure he'll comment on this later. Thanks for the compliments .

what are the eyelids made of and how are they stuck on? just glued to the top of the headlights?

S13Grl

The eyelids are actually regular vinyl that was cut evenly with the hood line, I believe.

Actually I used to have eyelids on my car awhile back. I made them myself out of 7yr vinyl. The same stuff used for a lot of decals. I just got two sheets...used the straight side of one to place where I wanted it on the light...stuck it on, smoothed it out, and cut it with a razor underneath the hood so you couldn't see it. They looked decent and the lights looked pretty badass at night too. My front lip now matches the rest of my car and I took ALL stickers off...I think my car looks completely different now...which is a good thing I guess. Anyways...here's the pics:

I think you can get them at graphics shops and small print places... not sure though.

I just want to know if it blocks out a lot of light, I don't want to do it, if it screws up my ability to see at night.

that's actually a skyline (at least i'm pretty sure it is), i'm not sure actually what kit that would be for it though. i just posted it cuz aceinhole reminded me again of how the 95-96 240's r really like a baby skyline.

mistert
12-22-2001, 01:49 PM
hmm, so i guess thats a GTS? i was thinking it was some sort of conversion, cause i've seen it done before. i thought the R33 had much wider rear fenders? also the way the front seems a tiny bit wider than the rest of the body led me to believe that it was some sort of conversion. oh yeah...and the wheels

Zenki Two40
12-22-2001, 01:55 PM
yeah, i was thinking the same thing 2, but it should be a gts or gts-t, unless it's a really nice conversion. guess we could try comparing it to these r33's as well though, they've all got different front bumpers though.

to mask or to cover completely? with window tint light will bleed through, but with a dark enough tint to actually black out the lights I think there wouldn't be enough light to be visible enough to be road worthy. I guess there's only 1 way to find out. I've found myself looking at the stuff at PepBoy's, but never tried it.

I was thinking about like 16% or whatever the one is around that, not the limo tint. and to just cover the whole light. I would imagine that it should be ok..Hopefully still legal.

ok I finally decided to post a reply since you all need to know so bad . I (my decal friend) used regulag black vinyl from boat/car decals , and drew a pencil line across the head lights even w/ where the hood over hangs , he had to use a heat gun to get the wrinkles out from curling over the top of the lights .
