So i was looking into purchasing the chasebays ps setup, on the checkout it asks whether you want to add the cooler for $100 bucks, i pmed chasebays they said i will need it if i was daily driving my car, i automatically assumed it was bs because their kit doesnt include an actual pump its just hoses and a reservoir to replace the oem stuff, so im wondering are they blowin smoke up my ass to get me to fork over an unnecessary 100 dollars or is it really necessary?

Not for daily driving. But if you plan on taking your car to the track it would be smart

Well the whole point of the kit is to clean up the bay. You will probably never need the cooler. But I guess if you bought it you could say that is another "mod" you did.. lol

It's probably because you spoke to someone in sales, and that's normal. A technician would have / should have advised you correctly!

I'm not a big fan of Chase bays stuff. You can make your own ps set up and do a better Job and cheaper . I did all AN fittings, a canton ps res and a -6 cooler. Works great. It's a dedicated track car but even just at idle the cooler gets warm. If you are re doing the whole system why not add one. It's some extra hose, couple fittings and a cooler

i would get the cooler, if you going to track/drift it, turn by turn shits going get hot, and it doesnt take space if you view the pics lol

I haven't been running a PS cooler since I built this car June 2008. You'll be fine without one EVEN if you track it :)
It would be nice to have one thoughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

My car used to make strawberry milkshake on track until I added a cooler. Worked for me, but I know some other cars that have not needed it and it works just fine.
