My car was almost stolen while at the mechanic recently. One of the things that they did was damage around the steering column. I didnt notice this until a week after I got my car back, but my horn doesnt work at all now. Im thinking they tried to hotwire and cut the line to it somehow? Anyone have any ideas as to how easy of a fix this might be? I don't want to return to the same mechanic.

look for some blown fuse or, try to take the column cover off and see if wires are spliced, if they are there should be wiring diagrams available somewhere just google em'

It would be in the thief's best interest to cut the power to the horn, since it probably will be honking when the alarm goes off. Thus, allowing him more time to try to steal your vehicle in peace.

+1 on checking the wires
