Mysterious grinding noise sr20det

I have a s14 sr20det blacktop. It is making a metal to metal grinding noise sounds like its coming from tranny or starter. It only does on crank up and diminishes and it happens occasionaly. When i put it in 1st or reverse it gets lounder then goes away it does not do it all the time. Tranny shifts smooth no grinds in gears or popping out of gear. It is not a permanent noise.... at stops after running i can put it in first or reverse with no noise at all.

possibly the throw out bearing or worn out pressure plate, im having the same problems but mine is very often lol

really so the throw bearing going bad can cause this infrequent metal grind noise? guess ill get a clutch kit and go from there im sure its time anyways... Any recommendation on a clutch kit for a stock s14 sr20det DD? im not trying to push any crazy HP

I'd personally go with a white bunny special setup feels good and grabs good too plus if you upgrade later it can hold up to alot more power than just stock
