hi folks i keep getting more, more, and more problems with this car ....as u know my motor was semi built and was broken in properly ...a few nights ago my car wouldnt idle all of the sudden and so i found it was the IACV wire was snap ...so i bought a used good condition IACV with plastic screw and bought a new gasket for it ...everything installed and tighten everything ..plug all the vacuum hose and etc ..but right when i started the car my wideband air fuel ratio was reading at 17.4-18 which its realllly lean ...the old one was reading perfect (idle at 14.7-15.1).....i checked, checked, and checked but couldnt find the solutions for it .....i tought myself its maybe the screw to adjust the idle might be leak so i put some teflon tape and adjust the idle, fpr, everything that i can think off still doesnt fix the problems..the idle seems rough , and when i little rev the car the car stays higher than 1k for a few second than the rpm get down again.....and now what could be the problems??...could be TPS bad, or a huge vacuum leak, or maybe the IACV not good ...please lmk if u have some problems or what should i check first..thank you guys

have you tried cleaning the IACV with Carburetor Cleaner?
My idle was f*cked up as well and I tried this and so far its been idling normally (Holding at 850rpm but dropping slightly to 600rpm with no signs of stalling/hesitation and it comes back to 800). Are you sure the idle screw is in the appropriate position? Over/under screwing it can also affect idle so make sure its calibrated correctly w/ your car
Are you running a BOV? If so, is it recirculated? That also might help out the MAF which has accounted for the air the BOV has released which might affect idle.

If the engine was running properly prior to the IACV wire breaking, I would say it has something to do with the "new" valve or the installation.
A good way to check if it has something to do with the installation,(ie. vacuum leak) is to start the engine and spray some brake cleaner or throttle body cleaner around the intake manifold. If you hear the engine tone change(idle speed will most likely rise, sometimes will drop), focus on the area where you're spraying when the tone changes.
Is the IACV you installed new or used?

its used iacv ..funny part its ..it was running fine with my old iacv before the wire was snap ..whats the voltage of iacv cuz i wanna check em if this one its good condition or not..and iam goin to check the leak as well but so far i spray them with soap water and idle still sounded the same ..

It's a vacuum leak so you're not likely to notice anything with soapy water, as the goal with that mixture is to see bubbles due to pressure leaking.
When spraying with carb cleaner or brake wash(which are flamable), they act like fuel. Theoretically if you have a vacuum leak you have too much air. If you add some sort of fuel the engine should rev up.

sorry to bump and old thread, but my SR is doing the exact same thing. I have yet to pull the IACV and try cleaning it. Is there a method to test the IACV? voltage wise or something else?
