I have searched and have gotten bits of pieces from other threads and forums about what pieces to get from Yakima.

So is there anyone that can confirm all of the parts I need and model #'s?

I am still pretty confused and I feel dumb. Thank you in advance :picardfp:

i used to work for a company that sold these. they had a book with everything you needed for different cars/applications. i know Sport Chalets have the book in store, but there are none in FL.

try an authorized dealer. im sure they could tell you the different parts you need.

I went to my local shop and they used the yakima website. But since nothing came up on the sight for a '98 240 they said that it would be a custom install.

I am trying to get the parts for a cheaper price and do it myself instead of getting charged for things I can avoid

If I remember correctly you have to use Q clips

Unless you plan on carrying something you actually use on a normal basis and doesn't just sit there for "decoration"

you know what's super cool, is when you just put your bike up there for storage instead of in your garage. nothing says "canyon racing street drifter" like a dusty roof bike.

I promise fellas that this thing will be used constantly. I have been resorting to putting the bike in the car. It's a real pain in the ass to keep putting it in and taking it out to ride.

Plus when I head back to school, if I don't get this rack I won't have any room for my school stuff.

I might get that wind diffuser. Then I'll be totally cool :keke:
