Mercury Cougar Slow...

Last night I raced one of those newer V6 Mercury Cougars (They kind of remind me of the eclipse)... I beat him pretty bad! I was kind of shocked considering my car is stock and 11 year old. &nbsp;His was an auto also. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

they are pretty slow, probes too. but cougar will chime in any second and tell us otherwise <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'> &nbsp;i'm sure a fixed up 2.5L is nice but stock? no way.

The cougars aren't bad stock, they have a respectable 180 hp, forget what the torque is. with a vortech blower they can make about 260hp at the wheels.

i dunno what the new SVT cougars have. those might beat us. but the normal 163-167 hp ones are a little bit slower and heavier.

Allright.. my brother has a 99 Cougar, and they are not faster than a 240 because when I drove it, he couldnt beat my 95 it wasnt even close until i was switching into 3rd gear and he came up to almost my door but then we stopped because he doesnt like to speed very much ha!

i dunno, from what i've learned from cougar, we're about dead even. they can get way more power n/a than us though.

I race them as much as possible, because I think it's funny. . haha I love to beat cars in the same class with larger engines, it gives me a rush. &nbsp;SLOW as ####. . maybe there's a fast one out there, but no stock one is fast. &nbsp;

Ohhh. . feel free to race the older (97 and older) Thunderbird V8 and Cougar XR7!! You'll have fun. . those are EVEN slower lol
