I was talking to one of my Corvette guys and you know he just loves to hate on all Imports, so i got into it with him about autoX and he said that his Vette could pull more G's then our 240's ever could. So i was just wanting to know? How much have you guys pulled out there on the good old skid? And what kind of shocks ect are you running?

Don Nimi ran like 1.09g on R tires and Eibachs + GAB(the stiffest ones, Super R?) back in the day. I don't remember the details exactly but I think what I posted is mostly correct.

Yea a stock fastback will do .88 which is pretty good considering the wheel gap and tire size

So has anyone gone for Apex shocks? I was thinking about it... If not then i was gonna go with Tokico GABs. either way im going four point sways... Im not sure.. I just want to hit up the local Auto X and turn some heads... I love auto X!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The new Z06 can pull 1g off the show room floor....but there's also a bit of a price gap there. I'd hope a sports car that cost 3-10X more could outperform a 240SX. However, for the price, the 240's handling performance is very hard to beat...possibly only challenged by the Miata as far as "bang for buck" goes.

You turn heads at autoX's with driving skills, not suspension mods.
And what are four point sways?

4 point = Upper, lower, back, and front.

And yes I know its alot about skill but its more fun for me to have a car that can run with skill. I wouldnt see to many heads turn if i went out there in a stock metro... Well now that i think about it... I get what your saying.... ;-)

but they don't make upper sway bars.
I assume you're think about chassis braces, of which, as far as I know, they don't make lower ones for our cars. You can get front and rear sway bars, which attach to the lower suspension and reduce body roll and balance handling...and you can get front and rear strut tower bars, which attach to the tops of the strut towers in the engine bay and in the trunk and stiffen up the chassis reducing body flex and making the car feel more predictable.

Actually, there are lower front and rear tie bars available for the 240sx's...but good luck getting them. Do-luck (Same company that makes the rear cross bar) makes them, but I'm pretty sure they're a pain to get ahold of.
Don did pull a 1.09 on the setup mentioned earlier(yes Super R's are stiffest GABs without going Revo coilover), but don't forget, he also has a Canadian car (read Super HICAS). I'm sure the HICAS helps out a bit in that department. I've got GAB Super HPs, H&R Springs, ST Sways, Nismo RSTB, and A'pexi Aluminum FSTB...I'd like to take my car and see what kind of G's it can pull, but I have no idea where to do it! Oh well...one of these days!

Actually, I believe that was with stock suspension and R compound tires... but PROBABLY not hehe. . Of course, he has HICAS. . .95 G stock on H rated tires. . I miss my Hicas hehe. . But he pulled a 1.21, but could hold at 1.14!!! Awesome. .

there is no way anyone pulled 1.2 g's or anywhere near it on stock suspension, c'mon people, use you're heads before you start tossin out comments like that, also .95g's stock on H rated tires, i seriously doubt it, i'd have to see it to believe it, yes the 240 is a nice car, but let's get back down to earth here
