I have a 1989 Nissan 240sx se. I have spent time looking for these cars and good parts and these cars are getting harder and harder to find good parts for as the drifters and younger crowd snatch them up and wreck them. The body has 167,000 miles on it and the motor and trans have 133,000 miles on them. I bought this car last summer as a project car and swapped in the ka24de out of a 1993 nissan 240sx se along with the transmission, engine wiring harness, ecu, and ka24de maf sensor and coil. The car has msd sport compact ignition installed but not hooked up and a oil catch can installed but not hooked up. I have installed a new steering column and steering column panels and brake master cylinder along with muffler and new heater control unit. The electric fan is on a switch from the swap but i have it hooked up so it turns on as soon as the ignition is turned on. The car has the normal minnesota and iowa rust and has side skirts installed but like in the picture the passenger front of the side skirt needs to be fixed and the headlights are in the up position all the time. his car does not have power steering but only needs a ka24de power steering pump and lines to be functional and the ac has been deleted along with the egr and emissions. Since i have bought the car the things i have done to it are....
1.Ka24de Swap, Motor and Trans
2. New steering column.
3.Windshield wipers.
4.Both intake manifold gaskets and all new vaccuum and coolant lines.
5. Plugs and wires but the wires are for a ka24e.
6.Msd sport compact ignition.
7.Oil Catch Can.
8.Muffler since all it had was a glass pack.
9.New brake master cylinder.
10. 1 new headlight and all other bulbs replaced.
11.cone filter to maf adapter and cone filter.
The only BAD things about the car since i have owned it and that i am aware of
1. the tach does not work it needs a tach from a ka24de cluster swapped in and it will work fine the motors have different tach signals which causes it not to work but all other gauges are wired into the factory harness and work. It has an aftermarket 5" tach with shift light on the dash that i will sell with the car.
2. The iowa and minnesota rust common around here.
3. Since the car has the egr and emissions delete it has a 7% fuel increase at idle causing it to idle a lil funky easily fixed with a remapped fuel curve ecu or just a adjustable fuel pressure regulator.
4.The head lights are stuck up and the fan is on a switch.
5. The paint is spray-paint flat black by the previous owner.
I drive this car to work everyday it was intended as a daily plus drifter but my plans have changed. This car runs great going down the road and gets about 27mpg highway and is not overly loud. I am selling the car with the old gutted steering wheel and column switches, a ka24e ecu, factory air box unit, extra distributor for a ka24e and a ka24de, an extra center tail light piece that says 240sx that is not painted black, an extra passanger door that has good glass in it, an extra passanger door panel, and a extra black top ka24de valve cover. I would like to get 1000 for the car and the extras to go towards the loan for my new car since i am trying to get out of tuners, but depending on the price i may keep the aftermarket cd player but i will send the wiring harness that plugs in the the factory and wires into the cd player with the car along with the installation kit. All the glass and lights, hatch and hood, along with the rearend are in good condition. This is a great candidate for a fun drifter or a daily driver to keep your silvia or whatever out of the elements and daily drama, or a great car to pull the motor, trans, ecu, driveshaft, engine harness, ka24de maf, and coil and do the ka24de swap or automatic to 5 speed swap to a shell that is in better condition everything is there along with some extras.
