View Full Version : Fuel Problem? SR Won't Start?!

So it is getting fuel and spark. It just seems like the motor is flooding everytime I try to crank it. After some tries I can disconnect the fuel injector plugs and start it up and pop them in quickly to keep it running. It will idle at 1,400rpm and go on indefinitely (ran it for at least 5 minutes straight without dying). I have checked the CAS and it is working properly and have narrowed it down to the FPR and ECU.
Any thoughts?

Pull your fuel rail and check if any gas leaks when you put the key in the start position (don't crank the engine).

Already did nothing came out when I let it prime. Also the spark plugs are completely fouled and covered in fuel when I check them.

We need more info. Is this the first startup on the swap? Assuming it is ,here is a list of things to check.
1. TPS idle Voltage , needs to be .45V , not adjusted correctly.
2. Fuel pressure 36psi @ idle .You may have too much pressure making it run rich.
3.timing (idling 1400rpms , leads me to believe its timing related.
5.MAF ,Could be dirty
just some possible leads..

I have the same problem. My car has been working perfect, every Friday when I go to my moms house I turn it on just so my battery won't die. Last Friday I went to turn it on but It wouldn't start it just cranks but it wont start. It has spark and fuel I even changed the igniter chip and nothing, now I'm gonna check my timing, I hope that salves the problem.

I also forgot to mention when I took out the spark plugs they were all wet with fuel.
