If I remove the rust on these, will it still be good?
I bought these here and they are supposed to be "brand new" but its been sitting for a while so they got rusted.

They will be fine as long as they are not undersized after you resurface them.

Yea I was thinking of resurfacing them slightly at the shop I work at. I think I'm going to spray the center hubs with some paint to prevent any future rusting in the center.

man if they were never used..... like LITERALLY never used, then put them on and do a little hard braking.........clean after like 3-4 stops.........

if they have been BARELY used from someone else..... resurface them as long as they are not warped..... depending on the weather and surrounding area (im in germany and if my s14 sits like more than 3 or so days they have somw surface rust Automatically)

and the only way i know of really preventing rust is having them coated with that sh*t project Mu uses..... not with paint

I dont think you can resurface those rotors. But you should be fine, just brake hard a few times and they should be fine.

my car sat outside for two years through a few winters and i just started driving it. rotors were worse than yours.

I would second the idea of painting the rotor hats, use VHT high-temp flameproof header paint (black) or silver if you prefer. I've painted mine & they have been holding up pretty well for the past 6 months. I went with silver but would paint them black if I had to do it again.

it looks bad, but its just surface rust. I would just put them on, the brakes will remove the rust.
