Hey, I'm looking at buying coilovers and all my suspension arms (S13) and was just wondering how rough the ride is with the solid bushing arms. They look like they'd be pretty bad on the street but I've never rode in a car with them.

I'm thinking especially the front tension rod since it takes all the rearward force of the front wheels that it would be super harsh. For a street toy/drag car should I worry about it or just go for it?

it's not so much a rough ride as it is the vibration and road noise that gets in. it's not too bad but definitely noticeable.

You'll notice stiff coilovers or wide, low profile tires more IMO.

Heading in the same direction as well as to address the rocking chair effect when banging gears. +1 on vibrations. My nismo motor mounts has shizz rattling that didn't make a peep before IE: rear view, dash etc....

Yes, its going to be a stiffer ride, your going to notice every pothole/crack on the street with coilovers and arms. But its the price you pay for performance, you sacrifice comfort. Especially when you start to go with a lower profile tire. Even with my wifes Scion, we went from the stock 45 series tires to 40 series and there was a HUGE difference in road noise and stiffness. But your asking about suspension so that wont really matter.

Ill let you know in a couple weeks when I install my Isis arm package and fortune auto 500 series coils. To be honest I love the stock suspensions rides on my s14 because its my daily, but we will see.
