hey all, Aspen White Super Pearl metallic glow is really giving me a headache.
I tried looking for touch-up paint to fix a coupla scratches, and two dealerships were unable to find the paint in the computer, using even my VIN and with the paintcode, WK0.
Finally, a 3rd one found it in the computer, but WK0 came out as Satin White, instead of Aspen White.
Strangely, courtesynissan.com does not even list Aspen White as an option for Touchup paint
Paintscratch.com wants $15 a bottle for 1/2 oz.
I tried the Satin White on my car, it did not match at all. It is a flat white, Aspen is very pearly. Perhaps it is the clearcoat, but dealerships dont have clearcoat in small bottles...or at all.
Anyone else with problems wiht Aspen White?

OptionZero,
If your color code is WKO, this info may help. 1st make sure your identification plate shows "WKO". Nissan actually make two (2) touch up paint bottles for WKO. The first one is a BASE COAT. The part no. is 999PP-SDWKOBC. The second one, which is usually overlooked by the parts department, is a TOP COAT (looks like a clear pearly color). The part no. is 999PP-SDWKOTC. Notice in the parts nos. "BC" versus "TC". This indicates base coat and top coat, respectively. I haven't tried them, but I'm told you need to apply the base coat first, and then next the clear coat to get a good match. Just keep in mind that the touch up paint brushes don't provide much precision, especially when applying two coats. It may make your scratch look worse. I hope this helps out. :)

Thanks guys! Just trying to help out as a fellow 240SX enthusiast. Reading the members' posts have provided me with a lot of good info, and I'd like to return the help wherever I can. I've been quietly lurking on this forum for months now, but I guess I should have posted a greeting earlier. Anyway, I'm looking forward as a new member here. :)
