As much as I want to keep this car and make it handle right, I cannot afford to do so at this time. Another enthusiast should be given the chance to make right what is wrong. I don't baby my cars but I don't abuse them either. Mobil 1 in the crankcase, Royal Purple in the trans. Replacement parts are all name brand; I don't play the false economy game. Runs strong; remember that these cars only had 116hp from the factory but this one makes full use of that small number.

This car has air conditioning and power steering. Great daily driver for the times when you have the top up. Gets about 26.5mpg mixed spirited driving; more if you cruise at 75mph on the freeway.

I would not hesitate to take this car anywhere. Tags are current; passed smog like a champ. I don't daily unreliable or poorly maintained cars; I refuse to allow myself to be stranded because I cheaped out on maintenance.

First, what I've replaced in the time I've had it:
-both serpentine belts (Replaced 6/22/11)
-battery (Westco)
-inner and outer tie rods (OEM Mazda parts)
-front ball joints (OEM Mazda parts)
-oil dipstick (OEM, the loop was broken after nearly 20 years of underhood heat)
-crankshaft pulley (OEM Mazda part)
-exhaust flange gaskets
-exhaust hangers
-valve cover gasket (resealed 6/22/2011)
-thermostat housing gasket (6/22/11)
-timing belt (Replaced at ~168k)
-timing belt tensioners
-all front seals and plugs for areas accessible during timing belt change
-spark plugs
-spark plug wires
-exhaust manifold (cracked)

What modifications I purchased it with:
-Hard Dog roll bar, four-point, no crossbars to inhibit rearward vision
-Flyin' Miata springs
-KYB AGX dampers (which are inadequately valved for the spring rates; recommend a change to Tokico Illuminas)
-Eibach front sway bar
-K&N air filter (comes in the car, freshly cleaned and oiled)
-random mediocre front damper tower brace (claimed to be Cusco but is weak and pathetic... so it might be)
-Japanese-market fender markers
-Subaru 6-disc CD player/changer (previous owner was an STi guy; professionally installed but no radio reception)
-Subaru slim subwoofer behind passenger seat
-upgraded door speakers
-R-package front lip
-Mud flaps (fronts removed but included with sale)
-Racing Beat front lower brace

What the PO did with it in the two years he had it:
-Professionally replaced soft top and rear window (rear window needs to be replaced again; less than $200 to do)
-Rebuilt A/C compressor
-Recharged A/C system
-Replaced clutch with Mazda factory clutch
-Replaced brake rotors with slotted rotors

What I've upgraded in the time I've had it:
-Works Bell steering wheel hub (look 'em up... not cheap and very high quality)
-Japanese-market Eunos Nardi steering wheel (not installed in pictures as it makes driving difficult for my crazy knee action but very nice; will part with the 330mm Deep Corn, bought new but with 30k miles on it, if I can get what I want for the car)
-Flyin' Miata frame rail reinforcement kit
-Track Dog Racing exhaust manifold heat shield
-SFI-approved dual-density roll bar padding in all critical areas
-Bosch DOT-approved H4 headlights
-Planet Miata tailored front wheel bearings/hubs with ARP studs (was going to run spacers all around)
-set Enkei RPF1, silver, 14x7 +28
-set 195/60R14 Falken RT615s (have RFB issues so vibrate on the freeway from 65-72mph)

What extra parts it will come with:
-full set extra control arms (no down time when installing bushing kit)
-full Energy Suspension bushing master kit
-Flyin' Miata crank seal installer
-all factory airbag stuff (there is e-tape on the LED; WB hub should've fixed but didn't)
-Flyin' Miata brake proportioning valve kit
-Stock tonneau cover modified for use with roll bar

I will sell an Iron Canyon Motorsports string alignment setup separately or, if I can get what I want for the car, it will be included in the sale. Used exactly once.

I have sold the Lotus seat setup. Included is a stock seat.

The pictures should tell the story. I will reinstall left rear mud flap prior to sale, whoops. Also, I will take a better picture or two of the dash and include one of the rear window. Link to complete gallery:

I will miss this car.
