I did a ka24de swap to my 89 hatch, and been running into problems.

First is to get it to idle by itself. It will chug around 200-300rpm and sometimes even at WOT it doesn't move. Sometimes it will slowly climb and once it hits 1k it jumps to 3k and stay for a bit then die down.

I did use liquid gasket( Hi temp RTV) in the intake to the head and throttle body, But I do not hear a leak or see one(sprayed tested).

I need to re-install my dizzy b/c it was off a bit, as I unplugged the TPS and AAC and IACV via big ass gray plug. and It would not start, as my friend suggests its b/c my ignition timing is off.

The only mods I have in a CIA, and a breather for the valve cover.

Any suggestions?

I re installed the dizzy to FSM specs and still nothing, It will start with the AAC and IACV plugged up but but i will not when its not. and un-plugging the TPS doesn't do jack squat.

I tried adjusting the IACV screw all the way in and out, doesn't do anything.

wow seriously? You used HT-RTV on the IM and TB? Fucking ghetto.
You know autozone can get you those gaskets

People have been using cardboard (mainly from cereal boxes and such) for years. It works well on some parts.

I'll be the first to agree that Cereal box gaskets work.

only as TB or IACV gaskets, I cant see it lasting long an a KA IM since coolant passes though it
