View Full Version : Tein S.Tech lowering springs(yes, ive used SEARCH)

i was wondering if anyone has dropped there car on Tein S.Techs with stock shocks? if so, have you encountered any problems? anyone actually blow their shocks? let me know. i've already searched, just need some info, dont jump on my case! RIGHT ON..peace...

I have S.Tech's on KYB GR-2's, and they feel pretty good on the mountain roads, if not slightly stiff during city driving. The S.Tech's I think are pretty stiff from the factory (from what my butt tells me LOL)

With stock shocks I suppose the ride would feel a little weird at high speeds since the stiff spring doesn't match the now "soft" stock shocks... I'd suggest replacing both for the best setup

you'll love s.techs..and yea it would be best if u changed to gr-2s atleast.
im runnin the GR-2 S.tech combo stilo is runnin AGX S.tech combo
my bushings and donut crap might have somethin to do with my ride also
(nismo/ energy)
but you'll like them either way..and they arent that stiff

You'll suffer the conciquences of riding s-techs w/stock shocks, how do i know? cause im riding on them. They are terrible! just gotta save up for some HA's or new shocks!

anyways, i dont recommend you using s techs w/stock shocks

i just bought an s14 with s-techs on stock shocks, and the back shocks were blown. Better for me because i was able to replace them all around with kyb agx's :) :) :)

even my AGX kinda suck with the S tech on their sofest setting.
I think stock shocks would really suck.
agx turned up stiffer work amazingly.

Thanks! I guess that shows how much I was itching to buy parts before I even found a used S14.
