We did an event at the Gainesville raceway, it was supposed to be grip driving but soon turned into a lot of sliding and wound up being that for the rest of the day. I had more fun that day then any other experience behind the wheel of a car. This was when the car was making 275 on a modded t25. I completely balded a basically new pair of tires that day. This was my first try at really drifting, the only experience I had prior is on the streets but nothing as long as this was... Enjoy! Right click and save as please!!!

Pretty good for first time. However it looks like your just using power over from that well biult SR. Thats how I started to learn to control the car being sideways. But, from talking to instructors and also watching pros drifting its not about coming out of the corner sideways (power over for the most part) its about entering sideways with as much speed possible and exiting sideways as well. Power over is relatively easy but learning to get the car sideways before the turn is hard I think. Thats why rather then taking a turn, then flooring it after the apex, or clutch kicking during apex like I use to go get the ass out, I am learning weight shift before the turn.

I am a newbie to the whole drift thing. Been to a few events thats it. Im probably wrong in my statements. Nor am I an ALL OUT drifter I love grip just the same and do both in my car. Just my .02 so dont flame.

:aw:

You gotta love the ass shot in the second video. Thought process. "hey, cool car. Cool, he's on a track. Hold up, ASS!. Car. Where did the ass go? More car and drifting. Sweet."

That BOV is so annoying in vids but sounds a lot better in person. Anyways looks like a fun time, and ya most people probably discover the fun of driftin by powering over by mistake. Anyways practice makes perfect.

Did the owners of the place care at all that you were doing that?

Nice work, I have been learning the basics also.....I have been working a lot on using the weight of the car more than the power of the car and getting sideways way before the turn, but its not super easy, but practice is what is fun to me and drifting period is fun......keep it up and I think its awesome how we can all relate to each other on these forums and share one common thing!
