Some incredible images from the Libyan Rebel front on how they are (attempting at) getting shit changed.

...it's things like this that make me appreciate how strong/adept our military is. Sure we waste a ton, but god damnit I'm glad we don't need to resort to this sort of nonsense.

i honestly have more respect for them. Theyre standing up for themselves and improvising, creating weaponry that probably matches to some extent what the government is using against them.

Its not like the dipshit terrorists that only have chinese ak's and rpgs or stolen US guns.

Without a doubt, but man oh man does it make me appreciate what we have.

Chances are the strong/adept military would not be on your side if the US government ever decides to oppress its own people. So you better have a fighter jet in your backyard.

There's a big difference in killing your own countrymen. I know most wouldn't do it.

I have to give them some respect for being creative and resourceful.
yeah, they don't measure up to the U.S. military, but they don't have anything close to the tech & resources that we have.
not a remotely fair comparison.

Still it's not always so easy for our military to defeat others.
Look at 'Al Quaeda' for instance, they're resources were also meager.
Their soldiers probably had little training or education (save for some select leaders, who were in the minority).
Took us years to catch up with Osama, and even then Al Quaeda is not done yet.

If you look at a lot of the military campaigns the US has been through, we're almost always the best prepared, spend the most, have the best technology.
We still don't always win, however (Somalia, Vietnam, Korean War, etc to name a few).

props for defending their own turf. if shit ever goes down in our back yard, whether it be another force or our own forces rounding everyone into the FEMA camps they've been building out here in the desert, you had better have your Macgyver skills tuned.

don't worry, they'll be using our weapons soon enough.

Fema Camps in the USA? Try googling outside of your favorite .biz website

FEMA Camps - Debunking FEMA Camp Myths - Popular Mechanics (http://www.popularmechanics.com/technology/military/news/4312850)

I have nothing against conspiracy theoriests, other than their sources suck and that their sources are easily counteracted.

With anythin gin life, in order to prove extraordinary points, you need extraordinary evidance. when I see .org/.biz/.shit I become spectulative.

The point of this thread is not to degrade their ingunity, The point of this thread is not to bash their desire; the point of this thread is to show everone how fortunate/lucky we all are for having what we have. Not saying our way of life is best, but I could only pray/hope/wish we never resort to another draft, as much of our 'able' working force are nothign more than 2 dollar shitheads who rely on mommy and daddy to clean up after their own ass blasters in the living room toilets.

I may be in the minority, but I want some repeatable/replaceable evidence to sway my opinion. with everything in life, if you wanna make a claim, you better have the research

i don't know about weapons but wasn't there controversy about nato forces or something like that helping the rebels/training them?

I wouldn't doubt that we indirectly sneak ammunition to them, wether it be through allies or pressuring NATO to do so.

Easily could have just posted pics of our badass weapons of war with the caption "AMERICA, FUCK YEAH", rather than:

Sure we waste a ton, but god damnit I'm glad we don't need to resort to this sort of nonsense.

If your point was not to bash, then don't call their improvised weapons "nonsense", because afterall, IEDs, RPGs, mortars, simple landmines, and all those other low-tech devices are still out there killing our men, despite all the advanced gadgets they're outfitted with.

I appreciate that we have the technology to keep more of our troops lives safe, but if you remember the scandal with the armor plating, and headlines of million dollar jets just falling apart mid-air in training, it begs the question where our money is really going :(

No matter what we do, there will always be scandel dependent upon which media outlet wants to spin a story. Only in 21st century war, does every internation news outlet expect us to operate cleaner than the catholic church system.

I was a bit stupified by high gravity when I wrote that, but to follow up (in a sober sense) I will say that that the wate we encounter is a small price compared to the lives we could waste instead. Bottom line, I'm glad we burn greenbacks to prevent disasters and or accidents.

Without going into some stupid USA rant, I know first hand/very well of how simple improvised weapons have wrecked havoc on our squads/company. Funny how a a crappy washing machine timer, some explosives, and a shape charge can do such damage.

Those lybians are badasses!!!! I always wanted to be involved in guerilla warfare. I would probably be bashed for this but I would much rather be living in Canada than in the USA. Don't get me wrong but fuuuuuuuuuuck America is so damn depressing. WTF is up with news broadcast only showing highlights of celebrities and deaths/crashes/kidnappings/horrible shit? This is utter bullshit... Fuck it. Just ranting really... Homemade weapons are the real deal and if shit keeps getting worse we might soon be seeing a WWIII in our futures. Fuck the draft! They can suck it easy.

Beat me to it.

Also, some of these "freedom fighters" learned their fabrication skills because they were using them to kill Americans in Iraq. Not all, of course, but a skill set in highly improvisational warfare does not spring up out of nowhere.
