s13 w sr20, car sputtering, gauges go out, lights dim

I've got a blacktop in my s13, one night after doing some sliding I was driving along and my headlights start dimming, gauges go nuts (reading wrong, turning on/off), and the car sputters whenever I accelerate. I redid the battery connections and on my HKS TT its showing close to 14v while idling and under load. I was told it may be the alternator but I find that hard to believe if I'm still reading 14v while driving. Any suggestions?

Check the main harness behind the driver side front fender, probably scraped it up. Check for any bare wires.
