Turbo Confusion

I'm looking at buying a turbo and i've noticed that some of them have internal wastegates and the other have external wastegates. i was wondering what the difference in the wastegate being internal or external? and can you still put an aftermarket bov on a turbo that has an internal wastegate?

bov has nothing to do with the wastegate....the answer is yes.
the difference is that internal takes the extra exhuast fumes into another pip that sually connects to the exhaust, extrenals is like....free <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>
