If the fillament of the fenders sucked that bad to begin with why did you end up using them and spending money to paint them? Another thing is if your bumper is also a copy it will make fillament of the two parts (fender and bumper) line up even crappier

Few words of advice.
-buy some matching side skirts!!! your car is all low in the front and then on the side its like BAM! all high
-pull out that chicken wire

Of coarse!! I am not even half finished with the exterior!!
-The chicken wire stays until i get a FMIC
-And i am saving up for side skirts and a rear bumper
Thanx for the advice

hey..whats wrong with chicken wire?
... you know I have never heard ANYTHING good about gtp conversion fenders..my local shop owner got a set real cheap for his s13 to convert to s15 and they were horrible..didn't fit in any way ..now he got a set of vis fenders, they are much better but still not sure how they fit on the car since he went ahead and put the silvia front end on it.

The fact that you can see that it's wrinkled in the second pic. Looks kind of cheesy.
A nice fat intercooler would look so much better sitting in that space.

Of course ist would look much better, but the wire is a protection for the intercooler!
One of my friends got the HKS Type-R intercooler and it doesnt look so good after a feuw 1000km`s! ;)

BTW the ugly chicken wire came bondo-ed on the bumper. It doesnt bother me all that much.
You can try ordering them from Takakaira.com i tihnk thats the site. Or you can try Chris @ speedalliance.

hey guys, leave the guy alone with the chicken wire thing!
How many of you HAVE a FMIC?!
I DO.
I'm putting wire infront of it to protect it! Your intercooler is 2nd only to your turbo (in cost) as far as engine components go. If you've ever spent a few hours straightening fins from random rocks and debris, then you'd appreciate the mesh in front. Besides, having a fatty IC sticking out screams "target" to cops, as well as scaring off potential marks at the track ;)
Lay off the guy, he's obviously far from done, and at least he's trying... he's actually DOING stuff, which is more than 80% of us (u know who u r. talk talk talk talk talk.... I'm gonna do this, I'm gonna do that... blah blah blah).

np man, sometimes the anti-rice factor gets out of control here. Pretty much everyone means well tho, so don't leave based on that. U can repay the favor tho!
Tell me what you end up doing about the fenders! i'm about to go s15 front end on my s13, and was pretty close to getting the new GTP CF fenders, hoping the fitment would be better, but it sounds like maybe I should just eat it and get the Masa (the original plan). If you get them let me know!
BTW are your fenders in the pix the GTP blue fiber ones? What about the bumper? like Nitekids was saying, a knockoff front bumper would make the situation worse :/ Let me know man, I'm really interested :D

there pretty good for fitment now, one of the better copy companies...

I have the same kit. :hammer: Did you install the body kit. I understand that body shops can stretch the fenders for proper fitment. Might be more cost effective then masa fenders.

The fenders i am sporting now are half of my stock ones and half the GTP blue fenders. The original GTP fenders fit like crap were the door lines up to the fenders. The stock fender goes from the door to the end right before the headlight, and from there the GTP part was added. The bumper is also a GTP fibercrap bumper. If i could do it all over again i would go with MASA fenders and the OEM s15 bumper.

hey yoshi I wouldn't trust the cf versions of gtp's fenders..the blue fiberglass versions fit liek shite. they are about 2 inches too short in length and the headlight turnsignal cut-out is not molded that why, instead its literally cut out, we got soem vis fenders and copaired them to the gtp ones..they look much better quality wise and have some extra length to them. when we test fit them on the car i'll let you know.

Not busting on you..but you do know that they're fake right? I brought back my plates with me, but I don't use them on the car except when we use my car in our booth at shows..then I just use it on the rear so that there's no blank spot where the plate would be. The letters and numbers should be in forrest green and the plate itself is actually off-white..not really white. Unless of course it's a temp plate then it has a red slash across it like a diving flag. The symbols you see in the upper left are the prefecture or area the plate is from. The number to the right of it is used in a few ways..mostly to show motor size or chassis modification. It used to be "cool" to have an 800 plate, which meant your car was highly modified..now pretty much only undercover cops use them since their vehicle was modified to accomodate the flip up lights on top. Then the symbol on the middle left is just to enable many more possible plates in a prefecture. Then the main numbers are either random or custom plates can also be obtained. Light up plates can also be purchased in which the green part glows..well, there is light behind it. You'll also see a seal on the plates..when on the car..it's an easier way for police to tell if it's a stole plate...but there's ways around that..haha! Just thought I'd give you a little info on it. :)

those ones are neat. i always wondered if it was just a different issue of plates, or something custom. thanks for clearing that up.
and yeah me and matto were talking about the numbers before, cause i have a lot of pictures where it doesnt seem to make sense (when you think about it in engine size).

Sorry bro but the plates are very real!! Maybe it hard to see but the lettering is GREEN. Also the size is bigger than the U.S. plate. Plus when you buy the fake ones they have black borders. Maybe this is a better pic for uhttp://i8.ebayimg.com/03/i/00/b6/3c/df_1.JPG
Or here it is on my car again.
Still think its fake?

Haha, I don't need to learn more about them. I used to live there. By the way, in that picture it's obvious..see the spot where the seal used to be..and it looks very black in the pics you posted, so I think it's pretty obvious why I questioned it. I wasn't trying to knock you and made that very clear. After checking that site..I noticed a discrepancy..sort of. You can get "custom" plates..but it's only in numbers or "."'s. My plates read Sagami prefecture (I lived in Atsugi) 300 then Y . 1 11 and the Y stands for "Yankee or foreigner" and are called Yankee plates. I forgot to add that.

anyways...I would go with Masa or West Yokohama fenders. They best thing you can actually do is weld S15 metal fenders onto S14 metal fenders.
If your saying money on sides and rear...save up alittle more and change that front bumper....also.....LOSE THE SPOILER!!! :D
