I would suggest never ever ever to use heater hose for this drain
1. It's not rated for oil usage
2. It's not formed...after a while (and I've seen this first hand) it will fatigue and begin to suck shut, thus blocking off oil drain ability
It's nto so much an issue of saving money, it's the point that you should be using the preformed oil safe hose.

Idk thats what the guy at kragens gave me and it's been holding strong for 4 months now so and I have one that runs from the valve cover to the oil catch can which runs threw the manifold and haven't had no problem with that neithier ?

Just remember what I said when you have issues. Unless he gave you oil safe hoses, it's going to only be a matter of time until it starts sweating oil an dhaving an issue.
I've got no issue for DIY and love doing shit for my own...when it comes to speicfic preformed hoses, I take zero risks.

I always put new OEM drain tubes on the cars, just for the reasoning of that they are oil safe, won't collapse due to being preformed, and have the little heat wrap around them too.
