and make sure you ground it to the chassis. I usually ground the aftermarket radio to the bolt in the rear heatsink, then when you bolt it into the brackets and then into the dash its grounded and done. But the factory wiring has no ground. Everything else posted above is correct from what I remember doing mine a few weeks ago.

Check www.trents180sx.com
Has s13,s14,180&s15 workshop manuals
Or contact an auto electrician...
They aren't expensive plus you are assured it's legit.

how old are you? this isn't the 80's take your ass to autozone or walmart and get the stereo wiring harness for your specific car, wire it to the stereo and then plug into the factory wiring,
no one but kids cut factory wiring for a stereo anymore, is it a real "silvia" or is it a 240sx with a rhd conversion? either way, all wiring for s13's wether its a real japanese silvia or a usdm 240sx everything is the same.

If you take a AA battery, and touch one speaker wire to the negative side, and touch the other to the positive, the speaker will click and the cone will move.
That may help tracking down the wires on the car side of things.
Its an old stereo install trick.
