So they've been talking about making a change to the tire rule since the beginning of the season, since so many top cars ended up on the same size tire by the time all the pre-season changes were made (shifted weights around, then added driver weight).
... now we're three events into the season, and they've implemented the change! I believe it's a 200lb shift within each tire diameter bracket, but I haven't seen anything official. Conrad's ecstatic about it lol, he's gone from 400lbs over the minimum at the end of last season to having to ballast 40lbs now.
