Oil Catch Can Question

Hi guys am new to this board and new in the 240 world but I have a question I just recently dropped an sr20 in an s13 hatch but i have a question because I installed an oil catch can but i dont know where one of the hoses goes connected to http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k135/CelicaGTS-2000/IMAG0016-1.jpg

I've also heard just to leave it like that but then it starts dripping oil

if you just leave it open there isnt going to be any vacuum.. mine goes to the turbo intake... i dont have an SR though so im not sure but i do know you need vacuum to that catch can so you have the vacuum on the top end or youll get blow by....

The OEM set-up connects the crankcase pressure with the vacuum of the intake side. The Oil catch can prevent oil from reaching your intake manifold and such.

You mean right in front of the turbo right or you mean the intake tube that goes connected to the intake manifold

1. From the crank case to the valve cover.
2. From valve cover to the catch can.
3. From catch can to turbo intake.


Atleast thats how mine is, I know its different between the red and black top since the valve covers are different from one another.

First off where is you intake filter?

The line you are missing goes to the pipe in between you intake filter and the inlet off your turbo.
Also I make sure you keep that catch can as low as possible since the are no filters or baffles in that Circuit Sport can. good luck

My air intake is below the exhaust manifold but the thing is i dont have a nipple to connect that hosei

ok am going to connected to the turbo inlet thanks alot for the help also one more question how much oil does it take if i have the expanded oil pan thanks

That one in the above picture goes somewhere on your intake manifold.

Are you not running a filter at all on your turbo ?

I am it just doesn't have a nipple for me to connected in front of the turbo

that goes only lke 6 inches over into the center of the intake mani..
i would plug this and run off the other side of the valve cover..
