This is my current set up. THe staging brake is held up with right two mounted flat bars. no mounts on the left side
The flat bars flex really easily with slight pull of handle.
What would be the best way to mount this firmly, no movement? either welded or bolted.
My thought is to make small brackets and weld them under each flat bar (pics attached). The down side is that i won't be able to reposition the staging brake later on.
I told a guy at Vildini about my thought. He said it'll be OK for now, but in the future, the base of staging brake (aluminum) may crack after countless times of pulling the handle. So i have to come up with something better than the current set up.

Post your suggestions please

I would absolutely run the second setup, boxed/welded. Very similar to how I mounted mine (I did a welded plate with nutserts).

i'd have went with weld set up in the first place if i knew that CNC staging brake is the one that i absolutely want.

Should i make another bracket underneath the bar the connects two other mounts?

The body of the brake shouldn't flex at all, so if your brackets are boxed all the way around the mount points like you're showing, there shouldn't be any flex in your bracket either.

What you might find is that the trans tunnel will flex and tear eventually. That's way down the road though.
